Temporary accommodation


For short-term assignments a short-term lease usually is more practical and economical than a hotel residency. Transworld International can assist with short term furnished and unfurnished houses/apartments.

This package includes the following services :

  • Corporate Account confirms name, e-mail address, phone number, arrival date, length of stay, maximum budget and number of bedrooms to Transworld International.
  • In every case, a "needs and preferences analysis" is conducted with the transferee and his/her family to make sure that only the most suitable properties are selected for viewing.
  • Transworld International’s consultant conducts an exhaustive research for suitable accommodation taking into consideration the budget, the preferred area, the school and work location(s), social interests, etc… Because we are not real estate agents but work for you we have just one objective - to find the transferee the home that suits the whole family - even the pets.
  • We present the transferee with a preliminary housing list with a wide choice of suitable properties.  After having received his/her feed-back on this, a final housing list is then presented to him/her.  We make all the appointments and preparations for showing prospective homes, and accompany the transferee during the entire Home Finding.  Focused advice is given on rental values, area, etc.
  • A welcome pack is given to the transferee : maps, dictionary and general information.
  • Short-list of preferred properties is established with transferee.  Second visits can be arranged and we initiate the negotiations of the transferee’s specific requirements for the home and the lease agreement.  Most favorable rental terms are negotiated.  We offer our full support with explanation and understanding of the terms of the lease, and assist the transferee with finalizing the lease for his approval. The legal requirements are supervised.
  • We are present during the signature of the lease agreement and if the transferee is not able to attend, a power of attorney and a copy of the transferee’s passport will entitle us to sign it on his/her behalf. 
  • Upon signing the lease agreement the transferee will have to pay the security deposit and advance rent.  From this point on until the transferee moves in, we continue to follow up with the landlord/real estate agency to finalize all the transferee’s requests.
  • Arrangements are made for pick-up or delivery of keys.
  • If necessary, connection of utilities such as electricity, gas, internet, telephone, TV cable, water, etc… is supervised and advice is given on the necessary insurance policies.
  • While the transferee is taking possession of his new home we arrange a walk through jointly with the landlord and the transferee to inspect the facilities and make the inventory inspection report by a mutually agreed independent expert (expert cost directly invoiced to transferee or employer according to the corporate policy).
  • Transworld International can assist the transferee in furniture renting or buying if needed.
  • Information is given on local transportation, networking groups, pharmacies/hospitals, supermarkets, bakeries, banks, sport facilities, language schools, etc…
  • Transworld International’s consultant remains the single point of contact for the transferee during the rental period.
  • Follow-up on extension of the lease agreement or notice on due date.
  • We are present during the walk through of the premises by a mutually agreed independent expert upon departure of transferee (expert cost directly invoiced to transferee or employer according to the corporate policy) and we pass on the comments to the interested parties.
  • Return keys to the landlord or real estate agency.
